There were some single-page illustrations but they were produced with pencil and were not that elaborate. Her two young children also attend the school where she teaches. I would consider it a pick-me-up story. The only positive thing I can say is that kids seem to like them; if you have a reluctant reader, you might get somewhere with a couple of these books you’ve read one, you’ve read them all–they are all the samebut there are plenty more engaging, positive books for kids out there.
Refresh and try again. It would tie in reaxy the health topic of coping with stress. You could talk about how he dealt with the assignment and breaking his arm then ask them to write about a time that they were under stress and how they dealt with it. In this one, Freddy is unprepared for his nocturnal animal oral report and breaks his arm. My one complaint wi Sam and I are reading our first chapter book. How will Freddy find one? Jul 01, Shynise Nunley added it. Robbie’s mom ends homeworo giving Freddy the idea for his report because she called him a bat. Still I cant forget how I got this book.
